Campervan, bus, mini campervan… there are many different ways to call this adventurous campervan. This van is custom-built in the factory and has become a popular travelling companion for many cello enthusiasts in Europe. Apart from a few windows, there have been no major changes to the exterior, so to the casual observer it would look like any other ‘bus’ in regular traffic. The size of the van allows you to get into places where a large camper can’t, and is much easier to drive and more comfortable in traffic.
The price always includes two drivers. We don’t charge for a second driver. Relax and share the joy of driving with others.
The rental fee includes basic camping and kitchen equipment so you can get on the road right away.
Don’t leave your four-legged friend at home! If you want to bring your dog on your trip, pay the dog fee and no problem!
Cancel or rebook your trip up to 48 hours before the start of your trip. With the Gold package, you can even do it, completely free of charge.
You can go as far as you like with us. All km are included in the rental price. Enjoy the freedom.
Katharina Eisenbarth We recently rented a VW California Beach Space from Vanbaltic and spent 10 unforgettable days exploring Latvia and Estonia during the second half of July. It was our first campervan trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, everything was straightforward. Before departure, we received a detailed introduction of about an hour, during which the team explained all the van's features and answered every question we had. While it takes a little practice to remember everything, the camper is very intuitive to use, and after the first day everything felt completely natural. The van itself was excellent. It was comfortable, drove smoothly both on paved roads and gravel roads, and was equipped with everything we needed. Over the course of our 1,600 km journey, we didn't experience a single issue. Driving was enjoyable, and the compact size of the California made it easy to handle, even in smaller towns and on forest roads or on the ferry. We also booked a few extras, including the biological toilet and the small kitchen upgrade. The toilet turned out to be a nice backup option, although we did not need it because we found plenty of clean dry toilets throughout Latvia and Estonia. The kitchen upgrade, on the other hand, was absolutely worth it. The built-in stove works perfectly for everyday cooking, but having a second portable gas cooker made preparing more elaborate meals much easier. The sleeping arrangement was another highlight. The upper pop-up sleeping area is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Thanks to the large windows, you get plenty of fresh air, and every opening is fitted with mosquito nets, allowing you to sleep peacefully even during warm summer nights. The camper is also very practical for longer trips. The two freshwater containers easily last several days if used sensibly, and there is plenty of clever storage space for clothes, food, and camping equipment. We often spent several days away from larger towns and still had everything we needed to live comfortably. We had to go on an official campsite just once. All the other nights we spent at the many wild camping areas right at the sea or in the middle of a forest. It is very easy in to find gorgeous spots via the application park4night. RMK is another great alternative provided by the Estonian forest management center. Most spaces are easy to find and settle in, have a clean dry toilet and a fireplace. What really made the experience exceptional, however, was the customer service. The Vanbaltic team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They have extensive personal experience traveling with their own campervans during the off-season, so their recommendations are based on real experience rather than tourist brochures. We highly recommend sharing your rough travel plans with them before your trip—they suggested several beautiful places that became some of our favorite stops. Overall, renting from Vanbaltic was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The camper was reliable, comfortable, and easy to use, while the excellent customer service made us feel confident before, throughout and after our journey. We would happily rent from them again and can wholeheartedly recommend Vanbaltic to anyone planning a road trip through the Baltics. It was an unforgettable adventure, and we hope many others get to enjoy the same experience. Julien Olvr We had an amazing trip with VanBaltic’s van last week. Armands the owner, will welcome you and show you everything you need to know in order to have the best time with his vans. He is always available if you have any issues or questions. Another good point is that pick up/drop off location is 10 min ride from the airport and this really makes it for a stress free experience. This was my first time with this kind of vehicle and wasn’t disappointed. You literally have everything you need on board so you can cook & chill with no issues, sleeping was also comfortable. Visiting Latvia with such vehicle is the way to go as there are so many cool camping sites/location. Absolutely recommended! Thanks again Armands! Simea Di Maria I spent 17 nights traveling solo through the Baltic States in a VW California Beach. What an amazing experience. The camper had plenty of storage space, and the small kitchen made cooking a breeze. Communication, pickup, and drop-off were easy and hassle-free. Pieter-Jan Van Cauter We had a lot of fun traveling with this van. Very helpfull and cooperative owner.

Yes, you can definitely bring your dog. If you don’t want to leave your faithful four-legged friend at home, you are welcome to take a small or medium-sized, well-behaved dog with you on your trip. Why small or medium? Of course, everyone has their own abilities, but for your well-being we don’t think it’s a good idea to travel with two Labradors for an extended period of time just 4M2. As the vehicle has to be specially cleaned afterwards, we charge a one-off fee, called the dog fee,” which is €79. Simply add the dog fee in the “Services” section during your online booking. If the dog fee is not booked in advance of the trip and we notice or detect any unauthorised transport of pets, this will be a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in a fine of EUR 500.

Such caravans are very popular, especially among younger users, and self-built, converted camper vans are often on the market. However, it is not advisable to buy one of these as such conversions require highly specialised knowledge, equipment and materials that are rarely, if ever, feasible and manageable by one person. These models are offered by all major motorhome manufacturers, as their cost is usually cheaper than for motorhomes with an existing original and distinctive body. Such a bus has many more options for transporting recreational equipment such as bicycles and a wide range of water sports equipment. In Europe, near surfing beaches, winter ski resorts or in the parking areas of various cycling competitions, such campervans are common; in Latvia, we are the first to offer this type of service as a campervan rental.
VanBaltic offers quality and well-known VW coaches made in Germany. Many travellers consider VW campervans to be the highest standard in the industry, especially when they mention that it was Volkswagen that started the campervan.
